Excellent cuisine offered by well-known restaurateurs makes Barnes a food writers paradise, although you will see little mention of this in the papers - they want to keep the restaurants to themselves! There is full range of shops and cafes in the picturesque village area.

The commute to central London is fast and access to Heathrow easy. No wonder so many well-known politicians and actors of the stage and screen choose to live in this charming area.
